Speechcraft is a course designed by Toastmasters International to teach people effective communication and presentation skills; and to provide a fun, friendly & supportive environment to help you overcome an fears or anxiety about public speaking. What happens at a Speechcraft course? On the first night you will receive the 'Speechcrafters Handbook'. The handbook is an educational manual supplied by Toastmasters International. We will also supply the Dee Why Toastmasters Manual, that includes a guide to the various assignments, document templates and helpful tips from experienced Toastmasters. You will be working from both of these manuals, and will complete between 3-5 speeches during the 6 week course. You will also be supplied with other information and copies of educational programs to help you through the course. The next Speechcraft course starts Thursday 4th February 2010 Contact the club or ring Graham on 0419 127 772 for more information on our next Speechcraft course. Speechcraft courses run over 6 consecutive Thursday nights. Each night begins at 6:45pm and finishes around 9.30pm. The course is held in the Luana Room at the Dee Why RSL Club. The fee for the course is $185 which includes room hire, all educational materials and a light supper each week. We provide a full refund if cancellation is received 2 weeks prior the course starting, or 50% if received 1 week prior. Concessions are available. After completing Speechcraft you are welcome to join Dee Why Toastmasters Club - we pay your joining fee to Toastmasters International in recognition of course completion.
