agenda,
and briefly describes the various assignments that may be performed
by members during a meeting.

Call To Order
The Sergeant at Arms convenes the meeting.
Presidents Opening Remarks
Chairman's comments
The Chairman is responsible for the running of the
meeting.
Program Changes & Apologies
Word of the Evening
Members are
encouraged to use the 'word of the evenings'
word to help extend their vocabulary.
Welcome
A club member formally welcomes everyone to the meeting.
Toast
A member makes a speech proposing a toast to a person or group.
Business Session
This is where reports on the club or decisions that
involve changes to the club charter or rules are made.
Toastmaster
The Toastmaster acts the the Master of Ceremonies
for
the prepared Speeches section of the meeting.
Speeches
Club members prepare speeches on a topic of their choice
and present to the club, based on the Communication & Leadership manuals.
Evaluators
Club members provide feedback to speakers on their
presentation.
Recess
Surprise
A short joke, a story, a reading or a poem.
Table Topics
A chance for members to test their impromptu speaking
skills.
2 Evaluators then present a 20-30 second evaluation of each Table Topic
response.
Master Evaluator
The Master Evaluator is responsible for evaluating the whole meeting
except for the Speakers and the Table Topics respondents.
Parliamentarian
Is in charge of making sure the Business session is run
correctly.
Grammarian
Reports on any incorrect grammar used during the meeting,
or any unique
phraseology used.
Listening Post
Asks Toastmasters questions about statements made
during the meeting.
Timer
The Timer reports on the times for various sections of
the meeting.
Awards
Awards are presented in recognition of their efforts
during the night.
President's Closing Remarks
Other assignments that may be performed (not a regular event)
Voting In
All new members of Dee Why RSL Toastmasters Club
are
voted in my existing membership.
Induction
A very special ceremony where new members are formerly
introduced
to Toastmasters International and the Dee Why Club.
